  ZERO STARS! Worst Insurance company ever. I asked them to write a policy for me and my fiance. They gave me a quote which was reasonable. I agreed to move forward. I week later I am told that due to non-disclosure of convictions (which by the way I did disclose) our rate would go up. Well it almost doubled. I was asked to advise if I still wanted to continue with the policy. I did not agree to continue whatsoever. I never signed the application to get the policy started. The broker called me to state that if I cancelled now I would have to pay an $800.00 cancellation fee. But why no policy should have been started. I complained to the Alberta Insurance Counsel who investigated the incident. State Farm was given a cautionary warning stating that they have to get SIGNED applications to proceed with a policy. I received the decision about a week ago. I went home last night to a letter in the mail from a collections agency because they sent me to collections to pay for a policy I did not know I had. Funnily enough when I went to the new broker for insurance I HAD to sign an application to start a policy as is STANDARD procedure. Now I have complained to the Superintendent of Insurance and the Ombudsman. These people should not be allowed to get away with trying to ruin peoples credit!!! DON'T USE THESE CROOKS.
